The Retro Collection

Every season at swimsuitsforall, it begins with a search for the hottest trends so we can share the latest and greatest with you. This summer is all about retro style: high-waisted two-pieces, swimdresses and halters rule. We discovered there are amazing vintage-inspired suits not only in our sultry Marilyn Monroe collection (an obvious fit, of course) but in the Delta Burke and Swim Sexy lines too! Retro is versatile—there are so many silhouettes and styles—the look will definitely work for you. If you’re feeling sexy and playful, try our Swim Sexy Halter Bikini. For a sophisticated demure look, slip on a swimdress. Retro is sexy but without being overt or too revealing.

We didn’t just want to tell you that retro is for everyone—we needed to show you. So we put together a massive shoot at the elegant Metropolitan Building in Long Island City, New York. We cast Alessandra Garcia-Lorido (daughter of actor Andy Garcia) who embodies sultry pinup-girl perfection with her dark bold eyebrows, killer curves, and full lips. And because retro style is all about a complete look, we styled her hair with vintage bombshell waves, while makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor gave her cherry red lips and smoking hot cat eyeliner. Check out all the photos from the shoot to get inspired for your own retro swim season.

A few ideas: pair our suits with floppy brimmed hats, sky-high wedges, simple sophisticated totes and cat-eye sunglasses. And though we are stressing style here, don’t forget that our suits are always flattering and functional. Most bottoms can be worn multiple ways—waist coverage is adjustable to suit your comfort level. And our tops feature built-in molded bras and supportive straps that won’t dig into your skin.

We are so excited to make this fun trend accessible to everyone!
